The camera system starts recording sound and video as soon as the ignition is turned on. This system features WiFi connectivity with cloud storage options so the client can view stored videos anywhere he has internet access and can also view the camera image in real time to see what’s going on around the vehicle. The camera system includes a 4K resolution, forward-facing camera with GPS and 3-axis accelerometer as well as a full HD resolution rear camera that we mounted in the back window. As such, we added the Power Magic Pro kit to protect the vehicle battery from being excessively discharged in the event that the client wouldn’t be driving the car for a few days. The client liked the idea that this dual-camera system can continue to monitor the vehicle even after the ignition is turned off. The next part of the project was to mount the BlackVue DR900S-2CH dash camera system. BlackVue DashCam SystemĪ rear-view dash camera is included in the monitoring system. This location makes it easily accessible at any time. We positioned the control panel for the AL Priority system on the dash to the right of the steering column. The system also includes filtering for blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control systems to reduce false alerts further. This prevents false alarms from automatic door opener systems in parking lots. The radar detection system works with a GPS receiver to mute itself when the vehicle is traveling at slower speeds. The NetRadar system uses a high-speed DSP to reject noise while providing excellent sensitivity. Unlike the signal from police laser guns, radar signals pass through plastics with ease and allow us to conceal the antenna installation. We installed the NetRadar DSP receiver on the front of the vehicle behind the grille. NetRadar Module Installation The AL Priority controller was mounted within easy reach of the client. The ALP stops transmitting automatically at this point so the officer can measure the vehicle speed and let the driver continue on his way. Once an alert is detected, the client has four seconds to ensure the vehicle is traveling at a legal speed. The TX sensor adds additional firepower to confuse the signal bounced back to the police officer and prevents a speed reading. When a laser signal is detected, the system transmits a signal from those sensors to confuse the radar gun and prevent a reading. These sensors monitor for laser speed measurement signals and feed that information to the control module. We started the project by mounting the pair of laser sensors and the TX sensor on the front of the Audi in the lower air dam. Two laser defusers were added to protect the rear of the car. Audi RS7 Radar Detector and Laser Defense Installation Additionally, a NetRadar DSP radar receiver module will provide excellent long-range warnings for X, K and Ka-band radar guns. To ensure the vehicle has the best protection possible, we planned for four laser sensors and one of the TX sensors. The HiFi kit includes an easy-to-use control panel and a compact speaker that announces alerts with excellent clarity. We added the HiFi Upgrade option with AL Priority laser and radar system. Happy with the information we provided, the client scheduled an installation appointment. We offered the amazing BlackVue DR900S-2CH, currently the best camera system on the market. He also inquired about a dash camera solution to protect his sedan. We explained the features and performance benefits of the AL Priority laser defense system, with its Net-Radar add-on module. The client had already done some homework on the features he wanted. Not long ago, a client from Philadelphia contacted Perzan Auto Radio to inquire about a 2015 Audi RS7 radar detector and laser defense system.
